For those Explorers not staying within the central Perth area you will need to make your way to the Perth tourist coach stand pickup point on Wellington Street, right outside Perth train station.
The exact location of the Tourist coach stand can be found here – Tourist Coach Stand information
If you don’t know where you are staying yet, then please choose the Wellington Street Tourist Coach Stand option when booking. Once you have chosen a place to stay simply email us with the details and we will let you know if we can pick you up. Please make sure you email us at least three days before the date of the trip, otherwise we will assume you will be at the Wellington Street Tourist Coach Stand.
Yes we can drop you at different locations in the City if Perth. Simply let your tour guide know on the day and she will work out the best drop off point nearby to your requested venue.

All our buses are clearly branded with the exploretoursperth.com logo and a big red boomerang on the side.
No. In vehicles that seat more than 12 people it is not compulsory for passengers to wear seatbelts. So children under 3 years old can travel free on ‘Explore Tours’ day trips as long as they sit on an adults lap.
Children who are three years old and over are required to have their own seat and you will need to pay the child price for them.
For more information on the Child Restraint laws in Western Australia please visit the Road Safety Commission website here.
For private tours, child seats can be arranged – costs may apply.
Find out more about our Vehicle types here. They do not have toilets on board, but all our tours have regular toilet break stops.
Children On Tour?
Yes. The team at ‘Explore Tours’ love children and are more than happy to have them on day trips.
Saying that, you should be aware that some of the trips are quite long (up to 14 hours) and we can be driving for up to two hours without stopping, so young children may get very restless.
The best trip for children would be the Penguin Island and Caversham Wildlife Park Day Tour, as this is only seven hours long and the most time you will spend on the ‘Explorer Bus’ is around 30 – 45 minutes at any one time.
Explore Tours Perth would advise against taking children on the Margaret River tour unless you are confident that your child can spend a lot of time sitting down on the ‘Explorer Bus’.
The age range for Children varies on each tour so please check the pricing on each tour.
In general though Children are classed as those aged between 2 and 15 years old and you will need to pay the child price for them.
Infants are those aged below two years old and travel free on day trips as long as they sit on an Adult’s lap. No food is provided for Infants as it is assumed that the parents will bring food for them.
If you would like your infant to be provided with a child’s portion of lunch, or have their own space on the bus, you will need to select a child place rather than an infant when booking.

Tour Information & Details
‘Explore Tours’ restrict each scheduled day trip to twenty passengers, however, for private charters we can accommodate more.
‘Explore Tours’ feel that our explore guides can provide an intimate and consistent experience when the tour is restricted to this number of Explorers.
You don’t need to be super fit to enjoy an ‘Explore Tours’ day trip. All of our trips involve a certain amount of walking, whether that is from the ‘Explorer Bus’ to a vineyard entrance or having a walk around the sandy pathways of the Pinnacles.
Wheelchair Users:
Wheelchair users regularly enjoy our tours, however we require wheelchair users to be able to get on and off the bus. Wheelchairs also need to be foldable.
There may be some activities and destinations that aren’t suitable if you are unable to walk unaided e.g. without the use of a walking stick, however, our explore guides will make you well aware of this before you leave the ‘Explorer Bus’.
We will always endevour to take you to the venues stated in each tours’ itinerary. In certain circumstances, out of our control, it may be necessary change venues for example due to power failures. In this case, we will visit as close to a comparable venue. We regularly review the places that our Explorers go to on ‘Explore Tours’ day trips.
The experience and service that you receive has to be of the highest quality and if it isn’t then that destination isn’t right for an ‘Explore Tours’ day trip.
Explore Tours Perth are completely independent and do not have any affiliations with destinations, vineyards, restaurants, breweries or other venues.
Our philosophy is that we want our Explorers to have the best trip possible, so on ‘Explore Tours’ trips you go to the places we think will deliver the best and most consistent experience.
The vineyards, breweries and restaurants that our Explorers get taken to are reviewed regularly and we do not hesitate to remove a venue from the preferred list if the service received on a trip isn’t up to scratch.
Public Liability Insurance
Yes. ‘Explore Tours’ is adequately insured for all of its operations through a Tourism Operators insurance policy.
