Day 1: Perth City, Kings Park & Swan River

After a delicious breakfast at any of Perth’s fantastic cafes (we highly recommend The Tuck Shop, Petition Kitchen and Gordon Street Garage), join a Perth City Walking tour to find out more about this wonderful city.

After exploring Elizabeth Quay and perhaps grabbing a spot of lunch From Rubra on Swan, Amano Restaurant or simply grab a takeaway.

For a relaxing afternoon enjoying the city and river views from Kings Park and exploring the botanic gardens, head one block north from Elizabeth Quay, to St Georges Terrace, and hop on Bus 935 (free) to Kings Park. After a wonderful afternoon, head back to the city for an evening cruise on the river (Little Ferry Company), sundowners at any of Perth’s Rooftop bars followed by dinner at one of the fantastic restaurants in the city – Shy John, The Stables Bar & Market Grounds are recommended by our team

Day 2 – Fremantle

After breakfast, head to Perth Station, get your ticket (we suggest a day-rider as it has unlimited travel, but best to check with station staff) and hop on the train to Fremantle, or join a Captain Cook Perth to Fremantle cruise. Spend the day exploring Fremantle at your leisure. The free Cat Bus runs 2 regular routes, or purchase a Tram ticket and get around that way – although Fremantle is pretty easily walkable.

We recommend the Fremantle Markets, Fremantle Prison, The Roundhouse, museums, and the foreshore and docks.

For lunch, you can’t beat traditional fish and chips from Cicerellos or enjoy craft beer and pizza at Little Creatures. For dinner back in Perth, check out vibrant Northbridge.

Day 3 – Swan Valley & Chittering Valley

Cycling Trails – The Swan Valley has some amazing cycling trails from wine trails to historic sites. If you pre-book and pre-arrange with Perth Electric Bike Centre, bikes can be picked up at Guildford Station and left there when you are done.

Only a few minutes further on lies the beautiful rolling hills, orchards and vineyards of the Chittering Valley. Book a tractor tour and fruit picking experience with The Orchard Perth for a fun experience for the whole family

Self-drive – With an amazing array of award-winning wineries, breweries, restaurants, you are spoilt for choice on where to go. Plan your perfect tasting venues here

Day 4 – Pinnacles & Wildlife

The Pinnacles are approximately 2.5 hours north of Perth and the only way to get there is by car or bus tour. We suggest a few jewellery along the way to make the most of your day if you are driving:

Yanchep National Park – Wander the boardwalk and see the Koalas in the trees and Kangaroos hopping around.

Lobster Shack – Pit stop at the Lobster Factory for a tour of the factory and insight in the to WA Rock Lobster followed by a delicious fish or Lobster lunch – yum!

Lancelin Sand Dunes – walk to the top of these crystal white sand dunes and enjoy the ocean views, or for the more adventurous, try sandboarding (sandboards can be rented in Lancelin or are included if you are on one of our tours)

Day 5 – Rottnest Island

This fantastic island paradise is only a ferry ride away – book your ferry ride from Elizabeth Quay, Fremantle or Hillarys Harbour. Once on the island, you can explore by foot, by bike (rent them on the island) or by hop-on hop-off Explorer bus.

There are an amazing array of idyllic beaches to explore, snorkel and laze in the sun. Don’t forget to get your cute Quokka selfie

Day 6 – Margaret River

Margaret River is a 3-hour drive south of Perth, and is an award-winning destination for food, wine and beaches that can’t be beaten! If you are self-driving, we suggest stopping along the way (we love the Crooked Carrot) or a few other suggestions here.

The Busselton Jetty, in the heart of Busselton,– is the second-longest wooden jetty in the Southern hemisphere. Ride the train all the way to the end and experience the underwater observatory – a fab way to see some of the underwater sea-life, living off the coastline of WA.

For lunch, why not visit one of the many fantastic vineyards or breweries, and enjoy lunch overlooking the vines – we recommend Clairault Streicker Wines, House of Cards Vineyard, and Cheeky Monkey Brewery. For sundowners, you can’t get better than Pullman Bunker Bay Resort

There are also plenty of gourmet tastings and shopping from cheese, dairy, coffee, chocolate, olive oil and plenty to do.

Day 7 – Mandurah Dolphin Cruise and the Peel Region

Head down to Mandurah by car or train and cruise the inland waterways, canals and ocean around the beautiful Mandurah and Peel-Harvey Estuary. Look out for playful dolphins and an array of bird life from the boat.

Enjoy lunch at any of the restaurants on the Mandurah foreshore and take a walk along the shore. In the afternoon, head out to explore the Beer and Wine trail of the Peel region (self-drive or tour) and taste some of the fabulous wines and craft beer that this region has to offer.
