How To Ride the Dunes


There are various ways to enjoy the pristine white sand dunes, including 4 wheel driving, quad biking and sandboarding. If you aren’t visiting Lancelin on a tour bus, you can rent a sandboard here (payment is made online) and pick it up from the Have A Chat General Store in the town of Lancelin. Alternatively, check with your tour operator if they can provide sandboards.

Getting To The Lancelin Sand Dunes


The Lancelin Dunes are only 1.5 hours north of Perth and are an easy day trip. Renting a car and self-driving is definitely an option; park at the entrance to the dunes and walk or take your 4 wheel drive all the way to the main sandboarding hill.
